The utilization of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) has seen substantial growth across numerous domains. Despite their wide range of applications, these drones can pose significant security threats, necessitating the development of systems to counter their potential risks. This paper presents the design of a wideband antenna intended for jamming the radio links of commercial UAVs. To this end, a printed Log-Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna, operating in the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands and capable of handling a power of 10 watts, has been designed. The antenna design and optimization were conducted using the commercial software CST STUDIO 2024. In addition to the antenna itself, a custom radome was also designed and integrated, featuring a comprehensive thermal design. Simulations of the antenna with the radome assembly indicate a gain of over 6.5 dBi at 2.4 GHz and over 4.5 dBi at 5.8 GHz. Measurements of the fabricated antenna without the radome demonstrated gains of approximately 5 dBi and 4.2 dBi at 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, respectively.
