In this paper, a resonant slotted waveguide array antenna with circular boundary has been designed and simulated for mono-pulse airborne radar applications. The antenna parameters are:11% bandwidth in X-band (8.6-9.6GHz),VSWR < 2, 38dBi directivity, sidelobes level of - 20dB and 3-dB beam-widths of 2.1degree. To Design this antenna, it is divided into short sections (sub-arrays) each with a uniform distribution. Corporate waveguide networks are used to feed sub-arrays for the Taylor distribution. For operating as a mono-pulse antenna, the structure consists of four quadrants with different feeds. They are combined in a mono-pulse comparator convenient for airborne applications. This results to sum and difference patterns at azimuth and elevation. In this work, CST Microwave Studio and HFSS softwares are employed to simulate the designed antenna. Finally fabrication limitations and the coupling effects have been taken into account.
